IV sedation provides medication directly into your bloodstream to help you relax quickly so that you can receive the care you need while remaining comfortable. This type of sedation is very safe, but our dentists and team will monitor you closely during your appointment to make sure that there are no complications and that you remain comfortable.
Prior to providing you with IV sedation, our dentists will meet with you in a consultation to
discuss whether or not it is the right option for you. During this consultation, we will review your medical history, dental needs and other relevant factors as well as all possible sedation options.
If you do receive IV sedation, you will need to have someone available to drive you home after your appointment. We strongly recommend that you also have someone remain with you for several hours after you return home until the medication from your sedation treatment has worn off.
